Market intelligence for the North American battery industry
The battery industry,
on one screen.
Federal funding, trade actions, materials prices, supply-chain capacity, the member directory and the tape. Gathered from a dozen public agencies and NAATBatt's own records, updated through the day, and searchable in plain language.
Six federal sources, checked daily
Every figure here is public and carries a link to the notice, filing or dataset it came from. Nothing is retyped by hand.
Open federal solicitations, screened so everything listed is plausibly biddable for a battery company. Sorted by closing date, with eligibility restrictions flagged, since those disqualify more bidders than deadlines do.
Every federal award already made, searchable, with member companies tagged and the total grouped by step of the chain, so you can see where the money actually went.
Section 337 cases, antidumping and countervailing duties, export controls and tariff actions, filtered to battery goods across ITC, ITA, BIS and USTR. Every entry links to the notice.
US grid battery capacity actually built and metered. Capacity in service, not announced projects.
Consumer and producer prices and unemployment. Each series title is verified against the BLS catalog rather than assumed.
Battery manufacturing output and prices, lithium miners, and four proxy markets that lead demand: housing starts, vehicle sales, gasoline and copper.
Records that are not for sale anywhere
The association holds three datasets nobody else can license: who its members are, what they say they can make, and every battery facility in North America.
1,282 facilities across 911 companies, with plants that are operating separated from plants that were only announced.
339 member companies, live from NAATBatt's membership system. Listings follow each member's own visibility settings; contact details are not published here.
The capabilities members declare about themselves: chemistry, format, components, equipment, materials. Nine structured fields the public site does not display, filterable here.
23k words of the association's podcast, transcribed and searchable to the sentence.
105
battery-materials price series kept on this board since August, and nowhere else that is free to read.
Benchmark, Fastmarkets and SMM sell this history, and their licences restrict republishing it. No free source keeps a running record, so this board started keeping one. Each reading is filed under the date its assessor gave it rather than the day we read it, so the record gains a point when a price is actually reassessed. 105 logged so far.
An analyst that has read all of it
Every dataset above is wired into a model with tools to search it. Ask in ordinary English and it runs the lookups before it answers.
Which states have the most battery plants, and how many of those are at member companies?
search_facilitiessearch_membersCalifornia has the most at 165 sites, 43 of them at member companies. Michigan follows with 98, then Texas with 71. Across North America the database holds 1,282 facilities run by 911 distinct companies.
Answered from the NAATBatt supply-chain database, 2026-03-31 edition. Every figure in that paragraph is computed from the same records the search page queries.
The daily brief
Three paragraphs each morning, written from the same board you are looking at, for an intelligent reader who is not a battery specialist. Every figure links to the panel it came from, and it never makes a call on a security.

An MCP connector exposes all 19 tools to Claude, ChatGPT or anything else that speaks it, so your own assistant queries this board directly and answers from it. Connect your own AI.
Everything on this board is public data, cited and dated. Nothing is aggregated from what members tell each other, and nothing here is investment advice. Logos are the marks of their respective owners and appear here to identify the sources this tool reads; they do not imply endorsement.
